Abstract

The monopoly of trade with America, granted to the ports of Seville and Cádiz, cemented privileged relations between Andalusia and America. Some people from Andalusia who emigrated to the Indies reached a high social and economic position, returning part of their earnings to their places of origin. In this investigation we will carry out a study of the donations sent by these Indians to religious buildings in Granada through the documentary analysis.
