Abstract
Terra Sigillata is one of the most important roman fine pottery groups per excellence. It is known as one of the most interesting movable objects in the scientific field, due to its ornamental richness, its frequent association with epigraphy and its chronological value as a datant and reliable element. However it is often forgotten its relationship with the political context at the beginning of its life, and especially with the Romanization process, and the Spanish case is an obvious example of this. With these bases we try to revalue the important role of Terra Sigillata in the consolidation of the roman process, that the Mediterranean Occident lived during the era change.
