Resum

This study is the result of a search ​​for professional intervention of social workers at a local level, the theoretical, ethical and methodological foundations, whose purpose is to analyze whether the intervention in social networks in community social work can be considered a new model of support from individual and collective interventions made by social workers in this field of work. The research incorporated several methodological, theoretical and empirical procedures. In addition to the study and thematic analysis of different authors, documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews with social workers, experts in different areas of social services, professionals in other cross-sectioned programs with social workers and representatives of non-profit associations and an in-depth interview of policy makers were used. The relationship between community social work and social network intervention also has potential for research and debate in public space to improve the intervention in contemporary society.
