Abstract

Basic aspects of Motor Control studies, this Doctoral Thesis is situated in area of control of motor execution, and specifically on the topic of the variability associated with the conditions of practice, the execution of movement and the result thereof, with the aim of specify how this control occurs and what variables influence in the accuracy, effectiveness, consistency and speed of the ball in a specific motor skill as the flat service in tennis. Through kinematic analysis of the action of the hand holding the racket in the service, it is examined the variability in kinematic variables such as instantaneous and nonlinear like a functional feature to execution, inquiring about the exploratory process and self-organization motor behavior generated around the movement when perturbations are applied through variability in practice. Finally, from the results extracted it is established conclusions about the appropriateness of applying loads of practice variable in learning processes and / or training of the service in tennis to improve performance in this motor skill.
