Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyze the influence of the variable game depending on the perception of tactical skill and decisional profile in young soccer players. For this, the selected study sample comprises a total of 247 subjects in Cadet League First Division Sports Games of Extremadura (JUDEX), of which 106 belong to the junior class and 141 in the cadet category, and aged between 13 and 16 years. As independent variable was considered in play function, defined as the role normally occupied or play the player in the field, during the past year, following the structure of game marked by the coach in the competition. In this study we have differentiated the following positions for both categories: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker. Independent variables were contemplated perceived tactical ability and the three variables decisional Player Profile: perceived decisional competence (CDP), engagement in learning decisional (CAD), anxiety and burden to decide (AAD). To measure these variables were administered the Tactical Skills Inventory for Sports (TACSIS) (Elferink-Gemser, Viisscher, Richart & Lemmink, 2004) and Style Questionnaire Decision Making in Sport (CETD) (Ruiz and Graupera, 2005). The results show that there are no significant differences among the players who occupy different positions in the field, or in the variable perception of tactical skill nor the three subvariables style decisions. That is, the game will not affect function or the perception that players show on his tactical skill or his style of decision making.
