José Martínez Ruiz, Azorín released his pseudonym in 1904 with the start of its series "Impresiones parlamentarias", had an ambivalent relationship with the Spanish Parliament, especially with Congress. He was a chronicler of Cortes in several newspapers and Conservative MP five times, making him a privileged witness of parliamentary life in the "Second Restoration," the author of a copious corpus of articles about the institution and polemicist in the ideological debate facing parliamentarism and anti-parliamentarism. His chronicles, with hints and pictures that extend extracts information from newspapers published speeches, revolutionized the genre. Understanding of his career in the political context draws, on the other hand, a calculator Azorín, obsessed with influence from the press, not reluctance to act in the back of some leaders, out of topic that will reduce the viewer only interested in the Chambers literary potential. This thesis was awarded a scholarship by the Congress of Deputies.
