Ten minor architectural elements have been identified in the Quaternary alluvial fans lying against the Padul Fault (SW border of Sierra Nevada, Betic Cordillera) that combine to build up two types of major architectural elements that correspond to: (!) former positions of the incised channels and (2) accretionary lobes developed below the intersection point. The fan apex, the proximal, medial and distal fan areas are characterised by particular proportions of the ten minor architectural elements.
