Abstract

A typical gianitoid association of the Hercyno-type suite occurs in the los Pedroches batholith, composed mainly of biotite ± amphibole granodiorites, biotite-cordierite porphyri tic monzogranites and cordierite leucogranites, with minar basic rocks. Plotting of major-element chemical data of these types of rocks on multicationic diagrams (Deban & Le Fort, 1982; Batchelor & Bowden, 1985) indicates a c/ear distinction of at /east two different series throughout the batholith
