Abstract
The present paper offers the most significant results of the research project on "The signposting of routes and places". The aim was to establish the principles on which a much-needed replacing of the current signs which indicate historical sights in the town of Granada should be based, especially those concerned with the interpretation of these signs. This should take place within the framework of the Protection of Historical Monuments and Heritage, since it is felt that the correct placing of indicative signs should form part of this process.
