Abstract

The objective of the study was to see the effect of a didactic unit of Sports Education in Physical Education on the objective and perceived habitual physical activity levels and the intention to be physically active in Compulsory Secondary Education students. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test did not show any statistically significant effect on the objective and perceived habitual physical activity levels, as well as on the intention to be physically active (p > 0.05). A didactic unit of Sports Education of short duration in Physical Education has no effect on the modification of physical activity habits of adolescents.
