Abstract

Informal knowledge of schoolchildren can play an opportunity in mathematical teaching and learning processes. This work analyses from etnomathematics and descriptive perspective the enculturation of the meaning of the colormaps associated with the football of 67elementary students aged between 8 and 12 years from public school in the city of Almería. Through the implementation of an ad hoc questionnaire designed, results reflect how more than half fifth and sixth grade students surveyed present informal knowledge appropriate for the interpretation of colormaps.
