Segregación residencial de la población extranjera en Andalucía, España

Resumen

El artículo aborda, por un lado, la segregación espacial que sufren los inmigrantes extranjeros en Andalucía (España); por otro, las principales causas que lo explican. Para medir dichas cuestiones se utilizan el índice de disimilitud e interacción. Además, completamos la investigación estudiando los elementos que determinan el proceso de segregación, para este objetivo se administra una encuesta a la población inmigrada en Andalucía. Los resultados muestran que el mercado residencial de los municipios donde se insertan inmigrantes está altamente segmentado a partir de la nacionalidad o lugar de procedencia. De igual modo, las causas que provocan esta segregación responden a motivos económicos y de exclusión étnica.
