Resumen

The study focuses on the detection of management skills of the directors of educational establishments of the public network of the town of Talca, from the perception of those attached to the various schools that are part of the research actors. From a design of mixed character it deepens in recognition of the tasks and objectives and management action, considering that the governing body is the most important school executive body and although assume control / coordination of many other tasks; eminently technical character unlike any other. Acts in planning through the development of tools, facilitates the monitoring and implementation of plans and proceeds to valuation. The directive action raised from strict compliance with the rules, executing and controlling of the educational administration proposed for the centers, would cover only part of the most elementary, few affect the direction of the centers. The other dimension, the liveliest, is related to teamwork, the formation of formal and informal groups within the organization, human relations and communication established in all directions, the need to discuss and achieve consensus in many actions, and actions in the field of comprehensive planning center.
