Abstract

Cloud computing has transformed the conventional computing model by allowing users to benefit from vast computing resources without owning them. Users can take maximum benefit from infrastructure, software and computing platform offered by dedicated service providers. This thesis focuses on Governance of cloud computing through contracts. Services are accompanied with a software or hardware such as internet of things (IoT) and smart items comes with certain terms and conditions that customers can proceed after choosing to agree to those terms. One of those contracts is click-wrap or click-and-wrap. In the context of this thesis, focused service customers are healthcare institutions, residential care facilities for senior citizens and Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Moreover, this thesis also highlights the importance of contracts in the context of data privacy and data integrity when it comes to handling sensitive user data in healthcare institutions and in regular businesses.
