Abstract
The purpose of this work is to remember the importance of studying the soundtracks and music in general in the communication curriculum offered in the EHEA. To do this, we briefly discuss the role that music exercises on emotion and function of these to get a visual message, taking as a reference for this study Hegel. With these guidelines will attempt to show how music is essential since it determines, in some ways, the attitude of the spectator in front of the content offered by an audiovisual medium, and thus determines the compression of the message. For this reason, knowing the soundtrack is key for audiovisual media professionals and is necessary to deepen their knowledge in the new curriculum of the EHEA.
