The present research is framed as an evaluative study carried out in a secondary education center of the city of Granada which aims to analyze the attitudes and habits that both students as teaching staff have to waste recycling and which proposes the implementation of a program focused on composting as a pedagogical tool to promote the development of the curriculum greening. The incorporation of environmental education to the school curriculum as a transversal theme has fostered awareness of the state of the environment, the sensitivity towards their protection and the acquisition of knowledge about the functioning of socio-naturals systems and active participation in the improvement of the environment. From these approaches has designed a program of composting in current environmental education understood as a transversal educational line, holistic and social change; as well as an educational tool that will help both to establish processes of curriculum greening in schools as to the acquisition of environmental values and critical reflection on the current waste management model and its impact at the environmental level , social and economic; aspects that we intend to leave dormant with this research.
