Abstract

This work is framed within a line of research on the relationships between architecture, city and literature in Modernity. Starting from the premise that 19th century literature plays a major role in the construction of the modern domestic imaginary, an especially relevant case, due to its wide popular diffusion, is analyzed: the multiple "houses" and domestic spaces imagined by Jules Verne.
