Resumen
This paper considers the thinking of Vygotsky, the russian psychologist (1896-1934). The central issue makes an integrative review, using the approach of counting votes, integrating the research literature available by a literature search from ERIC data base, to ascertain two of his main theories: one related to language-cognition and the other to the socio-cultural construction of knowledege or mediational theory. Each study is analyzed according to methods, findings, and specific referent to Vygotsky's ideas as the author expouned them. These two theories are supported in someway by the review, but the methodological deficiences in the studies
