Abstract
Workers' cooperatives are based on a holistic conception of the productive process. As a result, the quality of the democratic system of a cooperative organization is highly dependent on the existing psychosocial and economic system. Among the internal and external factors conditioning the form, contents and range of co-operation, different variables can be distinguished, such as psychosocial characteristics and organizational culture. This paper studies the impact of these variables on the participation system in a sample of Andalusian co-operatives.
