Resumen

In the following pages we have tried to offer to the interested reader a translation of three hagiographical texts ftom the original Latin into Spanish. These biographies, written in the Middle Ages, deal with the life and passion of Saint Desiderius, bishop of Vienne (t 606 or 607). The hagiographical biography of Saint Desiderius was told by three different authors, over several geographical and chronological circumstances, and with various finalities and motivations, as ftom an ideological point of view as ftom a literal), perspective. These three biographical text are: 1.- the Vita vel passio Sancti Desiderii a Sisebuto rege composita, 2.- the Passio Sancti Desiderii episcopi et martyris, a work by an anonymous monk ofVienne (s. VIII?), and 3.- the Passio Sancti Desiderii episcopi Viennensis, written by Ado, bishop of Vi enne ( t 875 a. C.).
