Resumen

Nowadays the interpretation of remote sensing images to make cartography of current vegetation poses a problem to the experts since due to they have to use, not only botanic concepts and terminology, but also the heterogeneus constitution of the Southeastern vegetation in the Iberian Peninsule. Analyzing and adding dates related to botanic aspects (phytosociological, biogeographical, bioclimatological and vegetal dinamics), the physical environment and the vegetation it is possible to build up the Current Vegetation Map (GOMEZ MERCADO & VALLE TENDER01 1987) and also the Visual Interpretation about images SPOT-XS in an area in the southeastern peninsular, in Baza-Guadix Depression located in the Mediterranean Region, Betica Province and Guadiciano-Bacense Sector. This study explained the results an conclusions obtained in this particular area and it is included into the Spanish-French Integrated Action 1-1F: 94-142 B on "The Study of the Relation between the Vegetal cover-Current polinic rain-Biomass of the arid zones in the South of Spain.
