Efecto de facilitación semántica en la tarea stroop. Implicaciones para el estudio del control atencional

Resumen

En este trabajo presentamos una réplica y extensión de los trabajos de Warren (1974). Utilizamos una tarea Stroop consistente en nombrar el color de la tinta en la que está escrita una palabra, a la que llamamos estímulo objetivo (EO). Previamente se presenta otra palabra que puede estar o no semánticamente relacionada con el EO. Los resultados muestran que en condiciones de alta relación semántica entre la palabra previa y el EO se produce una mayor interferencia en nombrar el color del EO, que en las condiciones en las que ambas palabras no guardan relación alguna. Esto sucede tanto si la primera palabra se debe recordar inmediatamente después de la tarea Stroop (Experimento 1), como si debe ser recordada mediante una prueba de reconocimiento al final del bloque de ensayos (Experimento 2). Interpretamos el efecto en términos de control atencional sobre las representaciones del conocimiento en la memoria semántica
