Resumen
There are curves like Makeham function or the logistic function that present serious problems when one wants to apply the least squares method directly to them. The purpose of this paper is to present a set of methods that fit the data from these functions in a quick and effective way. These methods might not be very widely known because thay have been developed in Demography and Actuarial Calculus
