In the current world, one of the most pressing problems is to acheive financial sources in order to meet the need of credit. That´s why we apply for loans that are to be paid back. In good times, the unpaid is a punctual, inusual or private matter. But when it generalizes, or globalizes, there is a need to resolve, not a particular problem, but a global problem that could have to do with the old roman idea of utilitas publica. That generalization leads to financial crisis. This article is about the financial crisis in the roman world, the measures taken to protect the roman finances and above all the confidence of the individuals. And how these measures fluctuated in an historical perspective between the free initiative and the intervention of the roman state, above all in the final stage.
