Abstract

How to communicate and disseminate scientific information through the Internet in order to obtain more visibility and impact. Scientific communication has experienced great changes, over the last decades. The final establishment of the Open Access initiative and the emergence of tools from the Web 2.0 are just some examples of such changes. Although, there is still great ignorance among the researchers of its existence and necessity, and of the benefits they can bring to the scientific community. On this paper, a general vision of the Open Access initiative and of Science 2.0 is presented, along with some considerations on how to make the most of these new tools in order to obtain more visibility and impact of scientific publications.
