Resumen
Many universities instruct their students to acquire certain abilities before they face a professional environment. In the case of medicine, an important amount of economic resources is dedicated to instruct actors to play the role of patients suffering a certain illness before the students. Besides being expensive, this process requires that the student and the actor meet physically. In order to solve this and other limitations, we present a Multilingual Virtual Simulated Patient, a conversational agent simulating a real patient who goes to a primary care consultation. Students can interview the agent trying to diagnose what the matter is, in the way that a doctor would normally do in a real consultation. This virtual patient is able to communicate using different languages and to express different moods depending on the illness he or she suffers from and the behaviour of the student.
