Resumo
In order to assess the degree of calcification in permanent teeth, a group of 65 odontopaediatric patients with sorne dental agenesis is compared with 328 patients without dental numerical abnormaIities. Nolla's method has been used to estimate dental development and calcification degree in both groups, with no differences in dental age according Nolla's tables. Mineralization of the 22 tooth was delayed in the hypodontic group. Patients with three or more agenesic teeth showed significant delayed dental development when compared with patients having Iess than three agenesic teeth.
