Abstract

During arqueometallurgic surveys carried out in the last years in the High Guadalquivir, and specifically in the Rumblar river, important remains of extractive mining and ancient metallurgy such as rafas, galleries, and “slags” have been documented. These remains have been associated to the exploitation of copper minerals and “galena argentifera”. In this paper we present the preliminary results of the analysis, not only from superficial and subsoil survey, but also planimetry and topography developed in the mine found in Doña Eva property, well-know as José Martín Palacios´ mine.
