Résumé

This paper shows the results and learning experiences from the first year of implementation related to the practical schedule of the subject “Computer Science Fundamentals” within the Degree in Telecommunications Engineering Technology at the University of Granada. We have followed a teaching methodology based on autonomous learning and the guidelines set by the European Higher Education Area in which the student can acquire the competencies established for this subject through the experimentation with practical tools. Given the basic nature of the subject, an appropriate incorporation of the proposed contents is critical for the students’ formation, both in the rest of the degree as in their professional future.
