Resumen

La investigación en terminología se ha centrado tradicionalmente en los sustantivos. Se ha prestado menos atención a otras categorías gramaticales, como por ejemplo los adverbios, por considerar que no representan mayor dificultad en traducción. Sin embargo, estas palabras suponen también un escollo para el traductor novel, que se suele fiar en exceso de la traducción propuesta por el diccionario bilingüe, ignorando que entre palabras equivalentes desde el punto de vista formal se dan variaciones interlingüísticas desde el punto de vista discursivo. Estos valores semánticos, adquiridos solo en contexto, van más allá del significado nuclear que aparece en los diccionarios bilingües y están relacionados, entre otros, con fenómenos de prosodia semántica y preferencias de selección léxica, que además varían según el género textual y el ámbito de especialidad.
