Zusammenfassung

With the aim of creating a theoretical frame about sport initiation in BMX (Bicycle Moto­Cross) cycling modality, Olympic sport in China 2008, in the present work we show first the concept of sport initiation according to different authors; next we focus on in the integral education of the persons who participate in the process, so that the process needs some characteristics passing through a few phases or stages until obtaining a suitable sport formation of the subject. Finally, we mention the models of sport education and their application in the teaching of BMX, concluding with the necessity of a deeper analysis about their use.
