Résumé
This paper presents a historic overview on the artistic glass manifestations in East Asia countries, where this material had a significant impact. It is analysed the historic evolution of artistic glass from its origin in China on the 6th century BC up to now. Likewise, it is pointed out a relationship between such evolution and the historic aspects that influenced the glass development as an artistic material, especially when glass is used in sculptural artworks.
