Abstract

A nation-wide survey was implemented from October 1991 to July 1992 in a representative sample of randomly selected, locally and nationally registred general dental practitioners in Spain. The Fee Index study (FDI/WHO Oral Economic Survey) was used. A total of 223 useable questionnaires were received, for a response rate of 34.9%. Analysis of the results showed the lowest value for oral hygiene instruction (17.31%) and the highest for ful upper and lower dentures (1500%). Regional Income level is the main factor influencing dental fees.
