Abstract

Introduction: Body composition in rugby is one of the deciding factors on athletic performance, and evaluate the anthropometric profile and energy expenditure Cerberos Rugby Team RFC Male, Quito, contributes to its success. Objective: To evaluate the anthropometric profile and energy expenditure Cerberos Rugby Team RFC Male, Cerberos Rugby Football Club, Quito Methodology: Anthropometric standardized techniques rugbiers 25 and 43 in two stages of sports performance, taking data on height, weight, circumference and diameters descriptors for calculating indices composition and body composition were applied. Conclusions: Team Rugby Cerberos RFC Male, moves from a small to large body composition, reaching flattering physiological conditions athletic performance, even when you have not deployed the full potential of the players, while its energy consumption reaches acceptable values for body condition and physical activity developed.
