Abstract

The vadose air in the surrounding of Nerja cave presents high CO2-contents (up to 60,000 ppm). The gas injection tests let to identify connections between points within a heterogeneous karst network. In this work, it has been confirmed the connection between wells in an experimental site, and established a mean 222 Rn value in the vadose zone that is between 3 to 10 times higher than those measured inside Nerja cave.
