Abstract
In this article, we study the most important news of the reign of Teodosio I, The Great, at the end of the 4th century A.D. We have collected the historical events more highlighted of this reign brief but interesting. After Valentiniano died in 375 up to that of Theodosius in 395 the Empire is divided into two parts: Orient and Occident. The political and religious figures had much to do with the ideas that this Christian Emperor tried to force to his subjects. The consequences were that the idolatry and those temples where is practiced those ceremonies were changed and destroyed them places of worship pagan. The Church suffered a breakthrough that changed his way of acting. The more important events in political inside and outside constitute the part fundamental of this analysis.
