Abstract
Primary neoplastic cystic hepatic lesions are uncommon entities within hepatic cystic lesions. Hepatobiliary cystadenoma, premalignant in nature, represents only 5% of cystic liver lesions, and its recommended treatment is complete resection or hepatic lobectomy depending on the tumour location given the risk of recurrence. We describe the case of a patient initially diagnosed with a complicated liver cyst who, after a first intervention, was diagnosed with hepatobiliary cystadenoma. The aim of this case report is exposing the symptoms, imaging features and therapeutic management.
