Résumé
Chemical composition and physical characteristics of extracts from art materials depend on different factors such as the source of natural dyes, the dyeing procedure, storage conditions through the centuries and ageing processes. It is important to acknowledge the difficulty of the identification of inks from saffron yellow after the exposition to the light. The techniques of identification and evaluation used were High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE). We carried out a comparative study with aged samples in a controlled specialized camera under extreme condition of humidity, temperature and light.
