Abstract
The aim of this study was to know , through a cl inical evaluation , the effecti veness and safety of membranes and thei r possi bi l ities of be used in im ;:ilantologic surgery, osseous defects and remodel i ngs. 28 patients were selected for this study. A fol low-u p was perfurmed fot ar least obe year after surgery by regenerative techniq ues for any of the fol lowing clinical situations: A) in the techniq ue of sinus floor elevat ion, B) dehiscences and fenestrations of implants, C) osseous ridge remodel i ns and D) cavit ies fil!. The long-term effecti veness has not been estimated, then , further research on this matter is req uired before being used continuosly in osseous defects, buy al ways with a previous evaluation of the cause which produced i r.
