Abstract
lf we analyse the structures and the componen! parts of the urban designs found in rural villages and small towns one of the elements which stands out is the presence of religious buildings, which condition to a large extent the development and growth of the village. This article offers a general overview of this type of traditional architecture, analyses its main features and presents some examples in the province of Granada.
