Abstract

In this paper a set of documents from Guadix Notary Archive has been transcribed, several dowry and others documents about inheritance and downpayment letters belonging to Notary jurisdiction of Guadix were analysed. These documents show the life and customs of the inhabitants of this geographical space, both Christians and Moorishs. We have obtained news on housing, land, trees, belongings and furniture for the bedroom, duning, table, dishes, personal toilet and clothinds, kitchen utensils, jewelry, shoes, tools for land labour, looms and utensils clothes for spun wool, etc. Furthermore, the record of this terms show how were incorporated to the Spanish language of this historic period. With this work, a new step about the knowledge on way of life an costums of people belonging to XV-XVI centuries has been carried out.
