Abstract

This paper focuses on the study of women whose life takes place in different cities of the world borders. Specifically on the border between Europe and Africa situated between Spain and Morocco; on the border between Argentina and Bolivia and the one between US and Mexico. This study will allow us to deepen our knowledge of women's perceptions about their lives on the border between two countries, between two cultures, to learn if there are characteristics that are common to all of them, or whether contexts make their needs different . The instrument to be designed is a semi-structured interview, to represent the realities of these women, through four blocks or dimensions: a) personal data related to the years of life on the border and labor activity developed there, b) educational aspects of their training and the value they attach to education as a means of improving opportunities, c) expectations that women have for themselves and for their daughters , and d) family context, relationships and roles assigned. The main conclusions will provide a comparison between the different research contexts, presenting a summary of the main similarities and differences found. In addition to these aspects, the profile of these women will be built from the convergences and divergences found in terms of important moments, experiences and specific characteristics of each protagonist.
