Zusammenfassung
The authors has identified the different kinds of lychens on the Fountain in the Main Cloister of San Juan de Dios Hospital, and has established their extent, fertility and degree of association with other elements. Acomparative study of the various biodeteriorating communities existing in different parts of the fountain is undertaken. The aim of the paper is to provide reliable information on this work which will assist in the planningof appropriate conservation programmes.
