Resumen
The historical center of Cartagena de Indias as a historical heritage of humanity, is in Colombia the representative territory of the virreinal period in terms of urban and architectural sys- tem, where there are civil, religious and domestic buildings that have survived with the passage of time from joint efforts between public and private sectors with a view to the sustainable development of the city and the region. The typology and constructive techniques inherited from the Andalusian culture enriched the urban development of the city and granted a special nuance that is maintained today and for which it is considered an exceptional destination worldwide for cultural tourism
