Abstract

This article describes the Subterranean System of Las Hediondas, formed by the Simas Hedionda 2 and Sima Hedionda 4, located in the Karst de la Utrera (Casares-Málaga); With its 2,168 meters of development and the important archaeological site located inside, it has become one of the most important cavities in Andalusia. The topography of the cavity is published and also a brief review of the history of its explorations, the description of the Karst de la Utrera, the characteristics of the cavity and a brief summary of the archaeological work carried out in the Sima Hedionda 4.
