Resumen

The Santa Eufemia pluton belongs to the Hercynian lateorogenic magmatic association of the "Los Pedroches" batholith (Southern branch of the Central Iberian Zone). It consists of porphyritic biotite-cordierite monzogranites and aplitic cordierite leucogranites. Quartz veins with W-As mineralizations and typical muscovitizations and turmalinizations, with local quartz-muscovite associations (greissen like) are to be found around the periphery of the pluton. The geochemistry (Sn-W), the periplutonic distribution and the zonation of the veins suggest that the igneous contact between the granites and the metasedimentary rocks migth have acted as a physico-chemical barrier, forcing the precipitation of the ores. With regard to the mineralization, the granites are specialised, in Sn, W and associated metals (Rb, Be, Nb, ...) probably obtained primarily from the anatectic region and subsequently enhanced by the magmatic and tardimagmatic evolutionary processes.
