Resum
The presence of malaria in Finland during 1750-1850 is discussed on the basis of the death-cause lists from 234 parishes with a total of over 1 .2 million deaths. It is concluded that malaria was relatively common and even became endemic, at least in those parishes with 2-5% of deaths attributed to the disease.
