Metacronía del "ammonítico rosso" en la zona subbética, Sector Central

Abstract

Liassic «Ammonitico rosso» is represented in the Central Sector of Subbetic Zone (transversal of Loja-Iznalloz, prov. de Granada) by many outcrops, most of them rich on Ammonites. The study of considered most representative of these outcrops has been made, by means of stratigraphic sections in which palacontological zones and subzones are established accordingly with the outcrop’s conditions. Metacronie of «Ammonítico rosso» facies from subbetic sedimentary furrow has been proved, herein to actually little distant series. Some series present a strong condensation in a few levels difficulting the recognition of subzones and zones. Two tipes of «Ammonitico rosso» facies have been differenciated the first one mostly marly and the second one, also marly, but with limestone intercalations. Both lithological and palaeotological characteristics allowed the establishement of a fine stratigraphy and correlations into the basin.
