Abstract
Liassic presents constant characters in some levels and a great variability in otherones in the differents domains of this area. Lower Lias, mostly dolo-calcareous, forms a thick packet, into which is very difficult to make any lithological nor paleontological division. Ammonites faunes allows Hettangian identification in Alhama de Granada, and Sinemurian one in Alhama de Granada and Sierra Elvira. Carixian is Iithological and paleontologically well characterized in Sierra Elvira, lIlora and Hachuelo de Montefrío. Lower, Middle and Upper Domerian is well characterized by Ammonites specially abondants in the Upper Domerian. Toartian is present as yellow, grey marly-limestones and «ammonitico rasso» facies, characterized also by Ammonites faunes. Aalenian appears under the same facies than Toartian but presents a rich faune with original characteristics.
