Abstract

The Valley of Lecrin is a tectonic graben situated on the South west slope of the Sierra Nevada. Specifc factor, have endowed it with certain microclimatic conditions which have made possible the growing of cytrus fruits, a crop which not only gives the region its original sight, but also constitutes the main resource, It is an agriculturel region, whose "minifundia" and technical backwardness have resulted in overpopulation and emigration, Consequentially, int the demographic anemia, which sooner or later can lead to its total depopulacion.
